                          Columbus, Ohio, July 15, 1920.
    The Executive Board met in session in St. Paul A. M. E.
 Church with the following members present: Mrs. Edna
Woodson, President; Mrs. Viola Calliman, Treasurer; Mrs.
 Dovie Nichols, Vice President; Mrs. Ward; Mrs. Ophelia C.
 Rogers, Secretary.  Mrs. Victoria Lane being absent, Mrs.
 Josie Collins, of Columbus, was appointed to act in her stead.
The meeting opened with prayer by Mrs. Josie Collins.  The
minutes of the board meeting in Cedarville were read and
adopted.  After reading  a letter from  the Contingent
Treasurer stating her inability to be present on account of
her husband's illness, Mrs. Josie Collins was elected to serve
in her stead.  Mrs. Eliza Johns, superintendent of the
Young People's Department, met with the board and pre-
sented the work of her department. She asked for more
time on the program-about a half day.
   We recommend that the superintendent of the Young
People's Department be given more time.  We recommend
that the superintendent of the Young People's Department
act under advisement of the President of the Conference
Branch. A recommendation was offered that we create a
new department called the African Mission Fund, said de-
partment to raise money to build a mission house in Basuto
Land. We recommend on the advice of the board that we
continue along the same line which we are concerning the
sending of monies belonging to the Young People's Depart-
ment to the Conference Treasurer.
   Presiding Elder West stated that he had been able to
organize two churches on the district--one at New Comers-
town and one at Plain City. He wants the missionaries to
stand by these points and help sustain the work until it is
able to be self sustaining. He recommended that all monies
be sent quarterly to the pastors on the mission work in the
district, and he further recommended that we provide the
men with information that they may have inspiration.
   We recommend that the Presiding Elder ask the Annual
Conference to recommend to each mission charge a quarter-
ly allowance to be paid quarterly under the advisement of
the Presiding Elder and that we pledge our support to meet
this allowance as nearly as possible. We recommend that
the work at Allen Mission, Cincinnati, be looked after under
the advice of Dr. D. P. Roberts.
   The Executive Board recommends that the District
Superintendents' ways to the convention be paid.  The
board further recommends that we have a board meeting in
February at such time as the various societies send to the
Corresponding Secretary names of delegates. That the
Superintendent of Young People's Department be a member
of the board and way be paid to convention. That the con-
vention pay the elective members of the board way to
