 God for all he has to bear and all we need is to have the
 Spirit of God to meet them. You can never fight evil with
 evil, passion with passion.  We will have to do good by
 going up on the mountain of regeneration and climbing as
 high as we can. When we feel evil we need a change from
 darkness to light.  Love is a spiritual essence and no man
 can practice this doctrine unless he is born of God.  Love
 those who try to ruin your reputation for if you are a child
 of God you still have character. For character is like our
 home in Heaven, our salvation, they can't get to it. He
 ended by saying that the doctrine of overcoming of evil
 with good is good for pastor with people, husband with wife,
 and one with another. Singing by the choir.  Offering,
 $20.40. The Holy Communion was administered by Bishop
 Jones. We sang, shook hands and departed.
                    Sunday Afternoon
    The afternoon session was begun with devotionals led
 by Dr. Carson and Miss Brooker. A real live meeting was
 enjoyed by all. Rev. E. A. Clark addressed the convention.
He treated his subject in his usual manner.  It was full of
information concerning the doctrines of the African Metho-
dist Episcopal Church. Solo, Mrs. Sarah Canty. Five-
minute talks were made by the following ministers: Rev. J.
O. Haithcox. He spoke on the "Ministry of Service." "The
Church Is Moving On" was sung. Rev. Ridley sang "What
Will You Do With Jesus?" He told us that for three years
he had had an invitation to go to Africa and it may be God's
plan, for His judgments are true. "If Jesus Goes With Me"
was sung. After remarks by the President, a thank offer-
ing was taken, amounting to $12.90. Rev. Elmer Liggens,
of the Fourth church, told about the sacrifices of the
women and urged the men to be more active along the line
of missions. It was announced by the committee who went
to the Third church that a young man, Arthur Clark, was
saved during the services. Miss Cook, of the Girls' Home,
was introduced to the convention. Benediction by Rev. J.
O. Haithcox.
                    Sunday Evening
   The evening session was opened with singing by the
choir. Prayer by Rev. Ridley. The Te Deum was read by
Rev. E. A. Clark. Singing, "Scattering Precious Seed."
Mrs. Maud Smith, a former president, was presented to the
convention and spoke largely of the work of the convention.
She charged us to remember our pledges for the year, the
pledge for Basuto land. "From Greenland's Icy Mountains"
was sung. Mrs. Emma Williams, president of the North
Ohio Conference Branch was presented to the convention.
She extended fraternal greetings from the North Ohio Con-
