ference Branch. She said she felt that by attending this
convention she had gained inspiration by the information
she had received. She paid a loving tribute to the work of
the retiring president, being present in Cedarville when she
was elected and now present at her retiring. Mrs. Ophelia
C. Rogers having resigned as Recording Secretary and re-
tiring was asked to have remarks. At the close of her re-
marks she sang "He Lifted Me." Mrs. Essie Hamilton,
retiring corresponding secretary, made remarks. Dean
Woodson was called for and made remarks. Mrs. Mattie
Ford, delegate to the quadrennial convention, reported in a
concise way. She reported that Ohio received the eighth
banner for having an increase in money. Offering, $4.04.
The District Superintendent and Thank Offering Secretary
to be appointed by the President-elect. The place of meet-
ing to be decided by the Executive Board. The Publishing
Committee to be composed of Mrs. Ophelia Rogers and Mrs.
Edna Woodson. A motion prevailed that the money in
Thank Offering treasury be turned over to the fund for
Basuto land. The committe on Anniversary reported. Re-
port adopted and committee continued. The statistical re-
port was made. The President stated that on the order of
the bishop the money collected by the Y. P. D. be paid as
usual to Mrs. Hurst. The committee on Resolutions re-
ported. Report adopted. The banner was awarded Mt.
Vernon Young People's Department and St. Paul A. M. E.
Senior Society. With the singing of "Blest Be the Tie That
Binds" the benediction was pronounced by Rev. E. A.
Clark and the twenty-fourth annual convention of the
Woman's Mite Missionary Society passed into history as
having been one of the most instructive as to information
and inspiration ever held.
