20 WOMAN'S MITE MISSIONARY SOCIETY
for their courteous treatment in entertaining the delegation
of visitors from this convention and for the delicious re-
freshments which were served.
We greatly appreciate the presence of Dr. J. A. Gregg,
president of Wilberforce University, and thank him for the
delightful manner in which he entertained us on Friday
evening with his experiences in Africa and also the inspira-
tion received from Bishop Brooks who created within us a
greater missionary spirit and we thank Bishop Jones for
that soul stirring sermon on Sunday morning, and Dr.
Caldwell for his assistance. Our prayers shall follow them.
We are proud to have had with us Mrs. Emma Williams,
president of North Ohio Conference Branch, and also Mrs.
Dovie Clark, secretary of the Quadrennial Missionary Con-
vention, and thank them for their able assistance.
Resolved, That we thank Rev. S. P. West, presiding elder
of Columbus district, and all other ministers who were in
attendance at this convention, and Mrs. Culpher, second vice
president of North Ohio Conference Branch. We thank the
visiting ministers for their counsel and pray that God will
bless them as they return to their various fields of labor.
We are very grateful to Rev. Clark, pastor of St. Paul's
church, members and Missionary Society for the very hos-
pitable manner in which we were entertained in their homes
and their courteousness in the dining room will long be re-
membered by this convention. Resolved, That we extend
to them our hearty thanks and also to the choir for their
beautiful singing.
We especially thank Dean Woodson, who has rendered
valuable service to the convention by conducting Bible read-
ings which were so instructive to all and for assisting on
various committees. We ask the blessings of God on Dean
Woodson and pray that he continue to keep up the splendid
record which he has made during his twenty-five years of
his connection with Payne Theological Seminary.
Very respectfully submitted,
