16 REPORTS AND RESOLUTIONS

                     RESOLUTION

To the Bishop and Conference:
Whereas, In these perilous times when men cannot af-
ford to practice duplicity on great moral questions, and
Whereas, The A. M. E. Church has always stood for high
morals and clean living, and
Whereas, This tidal wave of prohibition is taking hold
upon society as never before, and the Demon Drink is be-
ing driven from among us, therefore, be it
Resolved, That the members of the Ohio Annual Confer-
ence, now in session, pledge themselves to throw the whole
weight of their influence against this monster, and that we
are not only in accord with those movements which are
fighting the evil, but we willingly co-operate with all such
movements in the communities where we reside. Be it fur-
ther
Resolved, That we stand pledged not only to cast our
vote on election day for prohibition, but that we bend every
energy to have our neighbors to vote as they pray.
                                        P. S. HILL.
