               PROCEEDINGS.



     THURSDAY MORNING, JULY 2, 1903.


    The Seventh Annual Convention of the Women's Mite
Missionary Society of the A. M. E. Church, Third Episcopal
District, Ohio Conference Branch, met in Allen Temple A. M.
E. Church, Cincinnati, Ohio, July 2, 1903. The president, Mrs.
Malvina Mitchell, was in the chair, and Misses Susannah Cole-
man, Wilberforce, Ohio, and Minnie Constance Scott of East St.
Louis, Ill., were secretaries pro tem., in the absence of both
secretaries. Officers present were the president and first vice-
president, Mrs. I. N. Ross, Cincinnati, Ohio.
    Opened at 11:20, Thursday morning.
   Devotional exercises conducted by Miss Susannah Coleman
of Wilberforce, Ohio, and Mrs. Minnie Moore Waters of
Lebanon, Ohio.
    Singing, "Bringing in the Sheaves." Mrs. Minnie Moore
Waters addressed the society with words of encouragement.
    "Are We Yet Alive and See Each Others Face" was sung.
After singing Mrs. Minnie Waters prayed a very touching prayer
for the success of the work and the presence of God's Spirit.
    Singing, "Leaning on the Everlasting Arms."
    Scripture Lesson, I Cor. 13th Chapter.
    Singing, "More Love to Thee."
    The secretary, Miss Coleman, then called the roll and the
old members paid their dues and responded with Scripture Verses.
    Mrs. Mitchell, the president, then spoke on some important
topics.  She explained the absence of the following members:
Mrs. Higgins was sick at last report; Mrs. Carrie Ferguson,
