                      CONSTITUTION
                           OF THE
          WESTERN OHIO BAPTIST MINISTERIAL
                      CONVENTION.


                         ARTICLE I.
    This Association of Ministers shall be known as The WEST-
ERN OHIO BAPTIST MINISTERIAL CONVENTION.
                         ARTICLE II.
    The officers of the Convention shall be a President and a
Secretary.
                         ARTICLE III.
    Its object shall be to defend the purity of the gospel minis-
istry and sacredness of the cause of Christ. To promote a pure
and blameless ministry among us, by discountenancing all min-
isters who are known to be guilty of those things that are unbe-
coming to a Christian minister, such  as fraud, intemperance,
licentiousness, or any disorderly conduct that is mentioned in
the word of God.
                         ARTICLE IV.
    Any minister known to be guilty of the above named evils,
shall be prohibited from preaching in the pulpits of the elders of
this Convention, and  in this we seek  the co-operation of the
churches belonging to this Association.
                          ARTICLE V.
    This Convention shall meet as often as the President in his
judgment deems it necessary, and notice is given by the Secretary.
                         ARTICLE VI.
    It shall be the duty of each member having knowledge of
any evil existing against any minister, detremental to the cause
of Christ, to take gospel steps with his brother and report to the
President, when he shall have done what is required in the
Scriptures.
