Proceedings of the Thirtieth Anniversary at Cleveland, Ohio, 1902
			
            CONSTITUTION  AND BY-LAWS
                          OF THE
      WESTERN  UNION  BAPTIST ASSOCIATION.

    That we observe order and  decorum in our worshiping
assemblies, we ordain the following Constitution:
                     ARTICLE I.--NAME.
    This Association shall be known and distinguished as the
WESTERN UNION BAPTIST ASSOCIATION OF OHIO.
                    ARTICLE II.--OBJECT.
    The object shall be to interchange religious sentiment, give
advice to churches, provoke each other to love and good works
and to do general service in the cause of Christ, in such a man-
ner as not to interfere with the independence of the churches;
provided, however, they agree with us in doctrine and practice
as Regular Baptist.
               ARTICLE III --HOW COMPOSED.
    This Association shall be composed of delegates not exceed-
ing four for every hundred members from each church, with a
letter certifying the name, progress and present members of the
church of which they are members and a certificate of their
appointment.
                   ARTICLE IV.--OFFICERS.
    The officers shall consist of Moderator, Assistant Moderator,
Clerk and Treasurer, who shall be elected annually and hold
their offices until their successors are duly chosen.
                 ARTICLE V.--THEIR DUTIES.
    SECTION I. It shall be the duty of the Moderator to pre-
side at the meetings, preserve order, rebuke disorderly members,
and to call votes when ordered. He may speak on any subject,
by supplying his place with another, who shall perform in a like
manner.
