DAILY RECORD OF PASSING EVENTS on                     Plantation,                          
      during the week commencing on the 8 day of Jenuary 1860
                           George R. Clark  Overseer.

the 8    Sunday.  The Negroes all at rest to day
           This day clear and pleasant

                                             3 sick

the 9    Monday.  This day clear & warm  all hands picking cotton
         except 2 in the black smith shop.  2 halling wood



                                             4 sick

the 10   Tuesday.  This day clowdy with rain  all hands
           working in the new ground



                                             3 sick

the 11   Wednesday.  This day clowdy with rain in the 
         afternoon  all hands working in the new 
         ground  The river riseing.
          I received 8 mules per Steamer gen quitman
          last night from Natchez 
                                            3 sick
the 12   Thursday.  This day rainey all day  No work done
         to day by the hands 



                                                    4 sick

the 13   Friday.  This day clowdy and cold.  The men clear-
         ing in the new ground the woman work-
         ing in the same place



                                                 4 sick
the 14   Saturday.  This day clowdy & cold  The same
         work as yesterday



                                               4 sick
