DAILY RECORD OF PASSING EVENTS on Eustatia         Plantation,
      during the week commencing on the 1 day of April  1860
                         George R. Clark   Overseer.

the 1  Sunday.  this day clear & cool the Negroes
       all at rest  hard wind last night
       which Blew down trees unroofted houses and 
       Blew down fences.                      all well
                                              2 sick

the 2  Monday.  this day clear & warm 13 ploughs
       runing 4 men cuting lowggs 4 at the mill
       with Mr Brown the Enginier the woman
       makeing fence                          3 sick

the 3  Tuesday.  this day clear & warm with a high
       wind the same work  to day as yesterday
        Rain still falling                    1 sick



the 4  Wednesday.  this day clear & pleasant the same
       work to day as yesterday    River still
       falling about 20 feet Below the top of 
       the Bank                       
                                              1 sick

the 5  Thursday.  this day clear & warm. 3 comenced 
       planting cotton this morning with 3 openers
       & 3 harrows & 4 woman sowing seed and 
       3 comenced plowing the corn with 8 ploughs
       4 men at the saw mill 2 men and the woman
       roling loggs                           2 sick 

the 6  Friday.  this day clear & warm the same work 
       as yesterday Except the woman they comenced
       hoeing the corn this morning

                                              2 sick

the 7  Saturday.  this day clear & warm the same 
       work to day as yesterday  Majer Chotard
       overseer got six Barrell of pork from
       this place to day

                                              1 sick
