      during the week commencing on the 22 day of April   1860
                        George R Clark  Overseer.

the 22  Sunday.  this day clowdy & warm the Negroes
        all at rest  I gave the Negroes tobacco
        to day
                                                  2 sick



the 23  Monday.  this day clear & cool we had rain last 
        night all hands working in the new
        ground





the 24  Tuesday.  this day clear & cool 8 ploughs baring 
        the cotton the ballance of the hands scraping
        They scraped 50 acres to day  1 hand minding
        the mules to grass and driveing up the catte at
        night 1 carpenter at work in pigen house 2 cooking
        1 sick nurse                              2 sick     

the 25  Wednesday.  this day clear & cool the same work as  
        yesterday    .  River riseing



                                                  3 sick

the 26  Thursday.  this day clear & cool the same work as
        yesterday          River riseing within 15 feet of   
          top of the bank



                                                  3 sick

the 27  Friday.  this day clear & cool the same work as
        yesterday     River still riseing





                                                  all well

the 28  Saturday.  this day clear & pleasant the same work
        to day as yesterday untill 12 oclock I gave
        the hands this afternoon
