Art 8th
	The object of this Ass. shall be 

to aid and abet every object calculated 

to improve our condition, socially and 

politically to foster in our youth, a 

love of intelligence and business habits 

and to further the interests of whatever 

tends to redound  to the happiness 

honor and glory of our race

Art 9th

	The Constitution may be amended 

at any time, by such amendment being 

submitted in writing and read one month 

prior to its adoption provided always 

it is the will of a majority of the Ass.

Art 10th

	Any male person of color may 

become a member of this Ass. after being 

approved of by a majority at any 

regular meeting and paying an 

initiation fee of two dollars and the 

sum of twenty-five cents monthly

Art 11th

	Any officer of this may be ejected 

from office after being convicted of 

violation or abuse of the duties of his 

office provided always such officer 

shall have a fair trial and two 

thirds of the society present shall 

vote for his expulsion

Art 12th

	Any member of this Ass. may be 

expelled for reasons which shall be 

prescribed by the By-Laws
