     Records of Union Association

	Preliminary meetings having been 

held for two consecutive weeks, those 

who had expressed an intention of organizing 

the Union Association, came forward and 

having complied with the requirements 

of the Constitution procedure to elect 

the following Officers, who shall hold 

their respective offices for the term 

presented by the Constitution.
        President   Delvan Mathews
Vice	"	    Andrew Tone
        Secretary   Wm R. Casey
        Treasurer   Howell Boone
        Chaplain    Henry Fox
        Marshal	    Thornton Smith
        Committe of Directors
                    Whitfield Early
                    William Layton
                    Jesse Orritt
                    Wm Smith
                    George Taylor

The above mentioned gentlemen having 

each accepted the offices for which 

they were elected it was then on motion 

Resolved

	That a code of By Laws for the 

government of the Ass. be prepared and 

reported to the Society at its next 

meeting Monday night Aug 30th 1857

The Secretary was then authorized to 

procure a journal for the use of Ass.

After which the by word for admission 

having been passed to each member, the 

meeting adjourned to Monday night 

Aug 30th 1857
