The hour of adjournment having arrived

the members dispensed to their various

residences each serving to feed the

liveliest Sentiments of guad will to the other


          Monday Oct. 12th 1857

Meeting called to order.  Prest. in the

chair.  Chaplain opened the meeting

by prayer.  Roll was then called when

16 members answered to their names

The Sec. then in behalf of the Board of

Directors reported as follows.  First that they

had effected a complete organization and

were ready to proceed regularly 2nd They recom-

mended the Society to have the Constitution

and By Laws printed.  3rd That the Ass.

get up a Series of Lectures to be given

by and for the benefits of the Ass. but to

which the public should be invited 

The report of the Board was after due

examination adopted entire.  On motion

it was decided to have Semi-monthly

lectures and Mebrs Fox & Casey

were appointed to open the course.  The

serjeant was authorized to procure church

and make all necessary arrangements

During the session two of the absentees

came in who on assigning reasons were

in the case of Mr. Arnold excused and

in that of Mr. Raglan fined according to

rule.  A few desultory remarks were made

when the hour of adjournment

having arrived the Ass. adjourned
