            Monday Oct. 26th 1857

Meeting called to order.  Pres in the 

chair.  In the absence of the regular 

Sec. Mr. H. Fox was selected to fill the 

vacancy.  Meeting being offered in due form 

the roll was called and all but four 

members responded to their names.  

Mr. G Taylor being called on to excuse 

himself for being absent failing to do so 

paid his fine.  W. Smith also settled fine  

The Board of Directors made a partial 

report.  After which the Ass. proceeded 

to elections of speakers.  Mebrs W. Early & 

A Tome were elected.  It was on motion 

agreed that when we received in Treasury 

the sum of ten dollars we loan it 

to the Treasurer.  On motion adjourned

         Monday Nov. 9th 1857

Meeting called to order.  Pres. in the chair

Roll called when all but four members 

answered to their names.  Chaplain 

performed the duties of his office  

Mr. T Wilson coming in late excused 

himself.  Minutes of last meeting 

read & adapted.  On election of speaker 

Mr. Thorton Smith was chosen first and 

Mr. W. Smith Second.  On motion the 

motion to fine for not addressing chair 

was so abandoned as to embrace all remarks 

On motion the fine in the case of Mr. 

Andrew Tone was remitted.  After 

the consideration of some important 

business meeting adjourned.
