Monday January 4th 1858

Meeting called to order.  Pres. in the chair

The Chaplain having performed the 

duties of his office and the roll having 

been called, the minutes of the s[?] 

& called meetings were on motion of 

Mr. Fox approved.  In behalf of the 

Board of Directors the Sec. reported that 

Board had met, but had no special 

business to communicate.  Report adopted 

It was then resolved that on Monday evening 

next Jan.y 11th we hold debate.  The Pres & 

Sec were appointed committee to prepare 

subject for debate
