     The AntiSlavery Society of Ripley 

   met at the call of the managers

		Opened with prayer

	On motion resolved that a subscrip

  -tion be taken to aid the American A.

   S.S.		Immediately a subscript 

    was taken amounting to thirty nine 

   dollars & 50 cents

    Rev John Rankin & Mr Jacob 

  Shepherd were appointed deligates 

  to the Convention to be held at Granville
