ANNIVERSARY LETTERS OF THE BISHOPS.
Atlanta, Ga., March, 1909.
Prof. H. T. Kealing, Ph. D., Editor of A. M. E. REVIEW.
Your communication informing me that in April, 1909,
the 25th Anniversary of the A. M. E. REVIEW will be cele-
brated, not only meets my approval, but my highest com-
mendation.
Your humble servant, with mouth and pen, advocated
such a publication for years. Thus I congratulate myself
for having contributed to the existence of a great organ
which has dealt with some of the highest thoughts with
which members of our race are capable of grappling. I
have watched the articles which have appeared in it for
years and I have been inexpressibly pleased with its utter-
ances in every issue.
Again I commend the celebration of such an anniversary
and shall feel myself honored in trying to comply with
your invitation to be present.
The REVIEW will be far better supported during the
next quarter of a century than it was during the last. It
had to make a name for itself at first; now its reputation
is established as far as the English language is spoken, and
a more literary set of ministers and people is on the in-
crease in numbers and far better able to appreciate its
worth.
Fraternally,
H. M. TURNER.
