  We note with regret the suppression of the Theological Institute of
Atlanta.

  THE TRUE REFORMERS have a chance to live up to their name by
showing our folks how to treat misfeasance in office.
                              * * * *
  The Ecumenical Conference of Methodism meets in Toronto, Canada,
Oct. 4-11, 1911. It is to be hoped that the world will be better for this
meeting.
                              * * * *
  Life has its compensations, even for the Negro. Mississippi elects
Vardaman U.S. Senator and Texas gives the first prize in an oratorical con-
test to an eighteen year old boy who advocated justice to the Negro in his
oration.
                             * * * *
  Some of the articles sent in would indicate that many of our readers do
do not appreciate the difference between the Review and a newspaper.
We have been asked to give space in our columns to articles that are only
suitable for newspapers. We have three connectional newspapers that
ought to furnish ample space for the purely news items of the Church.

  The National Association of Teachers in Colored Schools met in Sumner
High School, St. Louis, Mo., July 26-30th inclusive. A profitable session
was held. The National Negro Educational Congress met in Denver,
Colo., Aug. 12-15th inclusive. A profitable session is also reported by the
participants. Are our educators setting a good example in multiplying
National Associations? To an outsider it looks as if there is unnecessary
duplication here.

                       BUSINESS LEAGUE.
