offering was really a part of the service, each sentence concerning the same
in, "Church Problems," by Dr. H. T. Kealing was carried out to the
letter.
We thank God for Dr. Kealing and earnestly hope that all ministers will
do as Dr. Iverson is doing, teaching the people and especially the young
that the offering is of a necessity and that it is a part of the service. The
Review was represented at this service and subscriptions secured. Thus
ended a day well spent for Christ in Little Rock. I was well cared for by
Dr. and Mrs. J. O. Iverson.
  Senatobia, Miss.-On Wednesday Nov. 2d, at 9 a. m., Bishop H. M. Tur-
ner convened the 12th session of the Northeast Mississippi Conference in
St. Paul church, Rev. R. L. Flinn, pastor. The Conference was well at-
tended. The General Departments were well represented and the Review
received a liberal support. The Ordination Sermon on Sunday, Nov. 6th,
was preached by Dr. C. W. Newton of Joplin, Mo., who selected an appro-
priate text and spoke very earnestly to the class for ordination. Text: Ephe-
sians 4:13: "Till we all come in the unity of the faith of the knowledge of
the Son of God, unto a perfect man, unto the measure of the stature of the
fullness of Christ." This sermon will be long remembered by all who heard
it; the earnest, eloquent appeal, as it was, sinking deep into the hearts of all.
  Canton, Miss.-On Wednesday Nov. 9th at 9 a. m. Bishop H. M. Turner
convened the first session of the East Mississippi Conference in Lampton
Chapel, Rev. J. W. Edwards, pastor. The Conference was well attended.
The Review received a liberal support. This Conference has a member-
ship of 50. I was well cared for in the comfortable home of Mr. and Mrs.
Charles Chambers and family.
  Brookhaven, Miss.--On Wednesday, Nov. 16th, at 10:30 a. m., Bishop
H. M. Turner convened the Mississippi Annual Conference in this very
enterprising town. The Conference was well attended. The Review re-
ceived healthy support, a large list of subscribers.
  Hollandale, Miss.--On Wednesday, Nov. 23, at 10 a. m., Bishop H. M.
Turner convened the 18th session of the Central Mississippi Conference in
St. Paul A. M. E. church, Rev. D. R. Morant, pastor. All the departments
were duly represented. The Review received a liberal support, an in-
crease over last year. Hollandale has a population of 800; 60 per cent. are
Negroes who own comfortable homes. We have an excellent church and
parsonage in this village. Much credit is due the pastor, Rev. Morant
and his good people. The services were well attended and the offering for
Missions and Education was given largely, willingly and cheerfully. I was
well cared for in the beautiful home of Mr. and Mrs. C. L. Hood.
  Clarksdale, Miss.--On Wednesday Nov. 30th, at 10 a. m., Bishop H. M.
Turner convened the North Mississippi Annual Conference in Friendship
A. M. E. church, Rev. M. A. Hunter, pastor. The Conference was largely
attended and as usual the General Departments were well represented.
The Review received a large list of subscribers, quite an increase over last
year. Rev. A. S. Blake, Prof. N. B. Allen and the writer were royally en-
tertained in the beautiful home of Mrs. E. E. Simington, 423 Yazoo Ave.
