Devotional exercises were conducted by Mrs. Carroll
and Mrs. White. The minutes of the previous sessions
were read, corrected and approved. Mrs. Dora Hamilton
was elected reporter to the connectional periodicals. Mrs.
Philip Daly reported for the O'Brienville Society.
Mrs. O. R. Williams made the report of the Nominating
Committee. Mrs. Woodson and Mrs. Collins declined the
nomination as President. Mrs. Rickman declined the nomi-
nation as Secretary. After some discussion, the conven-
tion proceeded with the election of other officers, with the
First Vice-President, Mrs. Carroll; Second Vice-Presi-
dent, Mrs. Carson; Corresponding Secretary, Mrs. Rogers;
Treasurer, Mrs. Caliman; Contingent Treasurer, Mrs. Kin-
ney; Juvenile Superintendent, Mrs. Johns. Further nomi-
nations were referred to the committee. Adjournment.
Devotional exercises were conducted by Mrs. Miller and
Mrs. Alexander. The Nominating Committee submitted
the names of Mrs. White and Mrs. Holland for President.
Both declined. Mrs. Davidson and Miss Gordon were nomi-
nated as Secretary. Mrs. Davidson declined. After some
discussion Miss Gordon was elected. For the general wel-
fare of the society, Mrs. Woodson, after many requests of
the members, was finally persuaded to accept the nomina-
tion as President, and was unanimously elected.
Letters were read from Presiding Elder Mills, Rev. Purs-
ley, of Wayman Chapel, Columbus, and Mrs. Blackwell, of
Sabina, and from Ironton.
Mrs. Nannie Goode made the report of the Auditing
Committee. The report was adopted. Mrs. Carroll re-
ported for the Committee on District Meetings. Report
adopted. Mrs. Susie Alexander, Custodian of the Self-
Denial Fund reported and turned over to the convention
$8. Mrs. Lutie Young reported for the Committee on
Junior Work. Report adopted (see report). Mrs. Rick-
man and Miss Gordon were elected to compile the min-
utes, the same to be approved by the President before go-
ing to press. The meeting adjourned, to meet at 7 o'clock.
