Session opened by singing "America." Prayer by Rev.
Charles Spirey, Wilberforce. Song, "Showers of Bless-
ings." Missionary responsive reading, led by Mrs. R. D.
Kinney, Zanesville. Song, "The Fight Is On." Recitation,
Miss Bessie Dunston, of Allen Temple.
Mrs. Dovie K. Clark, Recording Secretary of the Parent
Mite, laid before us the claims of the Parent Mite, and
gave us an interesting resume of their work. Choir sang
"From Greenland's Icy Mountain."
The presiding elders being absent, Rev. Roberts gave
us a short talk, in which he expressed himself as willing
to put forth greater efforts in behalf of the missionary
cause. Solo by Miss Mabel Miller. Mrs. Grace Slade pre-
sented for the committee strong resolutions on "The
Southern Exodus." Solo, Miss Dorothy Eldridge.
Dean Woodson and Mrs. Mattie E. Whillow, the presi-
dent's first teacher, was introduced.
Mrs. Carson was appointed to lead the Gospel meeting
Saturday morning since Mrs. Rosa Perkins was absent.
Convention sang with feeling "Blest Be the Tie That
Binds." Offering, $2.87.

Saturday--8.30 A. M.
Mrs. Carson, assisted by Mrs. Daisy Johns, and Miss
Bessie Dunston, conducted an earnest Gospel meeting.
Special prayers were offered for Mrs. Gross and Mrs.
Staunton, of this church, and Mrs. Mary Duster and Rosa
Perkins, of St. Paul, and others; also for the bereaved.
The minutes of Friday morning, afternoon and even-
ing were adopted after necessary corrections.
The first Auditing Committee appointed not being able
to act, Mrs. Ford and Mrs. Kinney were appointed to audit
Mrs. Caliman's books; Mrs. Georgianna White to audit
Mrs. Davidson's account; Mrs. Davidson and Mrs. White,
Mrs. Kinney's books.
It was decided that the money brought in by the district
superintendents be divided in equal parts between the
Thank Offering, Special Fund and Contingent Fund..
The President presented the name of Miss Amanda Ma-
son, our African student at Wilberforce. The convention
voted to contribute of the Thank Offering funds five dol-
