             Thursday Evening, July 15, 1920

   The twenty-fourth annual convention of the Ohio Con-
ference Branch of the W. M. M. S. of the A. M. E. Church
convened in St. Paul A. M. E. Church, Columbus, Ohio, July
15th. The meeting opened with singing by the choir. "Blest
Be the Tie That Binds" was sung.  The devotionals were led
by Mrs. Ada Boler, of Cincinnati.  Singing, "There Is a
Fountain Filled with Blood."  Scripture reading, the 19th
Psalm, by Mrs. Eliza Johns. Mrs. Nannie Goode, president
of the local society, made the welcome address on behalf of
the St. Paul Society. The, address was closed with a welcome
song which was greatly appreciated and loudly applauded
by all. The song was composed by Mrs. Goode.  Response
to the welcome address was made by Mrs. Sallie Watkins,
Xenia, Ohio.  She closed with a beautiful poem.
   The Finance Committee was appointed--Mrs. Nannie
Goode, Mrs. Mary Mosby, Mrs. Ira Collins.  The roll call
and the payment of dues was called for the following pay-
ing dues of 50 cents each: Mrs. Edna Woodson, Mrs. Dovie
Nichols, Mrs. Mattie Ford, Mrs. Viola Calliman, Mrs. M. H.
Evans, Victoria Lane, Nannie Goode, Ophelia C. Rogers,
Lutie  Tush,  Edmonary  Barnes, Dora  Hamilton,  Mary
Duster, Sallie Watkins, Della Ward, Mary Davis, Eliza
Johns, C. D. White, Julia Reed, Elizabeth Chatman, Marie
White, Essie Rickman Hamilton, Mrs. Sarah Calliman,
Minnie Jameson, Florence Espy, Allie Smith, Rebecca
Johnstone, Anna Mallory, Lulu Franklin, Mallie Ford, Mattie
J. Fields, Mary Mosby, Hannah Hudson, Josie Collins, Susie
