and which I promised to pay at that time. Besides paying $10 due 
the Lodge  I am now a "Master Mason."  I also replaced the $10 
which Mrs. JC. Banks handed you and it was absolutely necessary 
for me to retain some money as I now am compelled to buy 
everything I eat or wear.  My outlay at the start will be 
considerable.  I will give you the items which I have purchased 
already and which were absolutely necessary.


One pair Light Shoes                 $4.50
One pair Fine Regulation pants       10.00
Two  striped flannel shirts           6.00
                                     ______
                                      20.50

For which I gave my note and for which Col. Snook is bail.  This 
is considerable but it is less
