Hissony is absent recruiting. The 68th has been fighting since
she left I believe but I have not heard any news form her in
particular.
Did you get 30 dollars which I sent you on pay day? and did you
get nine dollars which Mrs. J.S. Snook was to pay you? At me
know in your next letter without fail. As I have written you
before I intend to be at home before Sept 30th or will send you
how would like to spend tow or three months down her in Dixie
with me in some comfortable house? Alex never writes I have
rec'd one letter from him since I have been in the service!
I wrote to Jas Jewel not long ago but no answer yet. I am glad
that Ella and Jennie and attending school. What school are they
attending? Learn them to work too it is of no less importance
than education. Can Ella sew any.
Tell her she must learn to sew well enough to sew a button on for
me or hem a handkerchief! (When I come home) My dear wife I have
nothing interesting to write at this time but simply do so to let
you know that I am well and to make an enquiry about that money
No more
