Letter from George W. Buchuer [?] Minister Resident to Charles Young

Legation of the United States of America [embossed]

Monrovia, Liberia.
Oct. 7, 1914.

Major Charles Young,
Military Attache
American Legation,
Monrovia.

Sir:

I have the honor to acknowledge receipt of your

letter of even date asking me to use the offices of

the Department of State to locate the whereabouts of

your two children.

In reply I have to say that the following cable

has been sent the Department:

"Children of Major Young at school of Notre Dame

de la Compassion in Pieton, Belgium; boy Noel and

girl Marie. Legation urges Department to inquire of

their well being."

Hoping this is satisfactory.

I am, Sir,

Very respectfully yours,
Geo. W. Buckner.
Minister Resident
