Letter from [Charles Young?] To Emmett J. Scott

					Wilberforce University,
					Wilberforce, Ohio,
					February 13, 1918.

Hon. Emmett J. Scott,
Assistant to Secretary of War.

My dear Mr. Scott:

Replying to your kind favor for which I
desire to thank you, I wish to reply that when or
wherever you desire me to be, I can make it con-
venient to come, provided the slightest assent can
be secured from the Secretary of War for me to leave
the State of Ohio. If you can gain such permission
I shall gladly come to you.

Or if better, why can you not make it con-
venient to come to see me at Wilberforce? You will
be welcome, I assure you.

			Very sincerely yours,

                             Col. U.S. Army, retd.
