Letter from George W. Goethals to Charles Young

										Goethals
					War Department
Office of the Chief of Staff
					Director of Storage and Traffic
					Washington, D.C.

						July 6, 1918.

My dear Colonel Young:

I am just in receipt of your letter of
the 4th instant. The assistant in the office
gave me the message which you left and I re-
gret not having seen you.

I am sorry that the Army doctors have
ruled against your securing active service, but
unfortunately their rulings in all cases of
that character are final.

		With best wishes,

			Yours sincerely,
				Geo. M. Goethals
Colonel Charles Young,
Wilberforce University,
Wilberforce, Ohio.
