Letter from James Howard to Charles Young

Dear Col. Young
I was up to the office of
the chief o f police today seeing to
the guard, and he informed me
that the whole matter of that trans-
action out in Camp Johnson was
sent to him to be publish; but
the Major asked him or arranged
with him not to publish it.
Explained that he did it to stope
certain things, but it was not as
that wicked person wrote it.
he further expressed that at the end
he will come to the top.

However it has been stopped.
