Richard Theodore Greener (1844-1922)

Description:  Print of Richard Theodore Greener (1844-1922), an educator, lawyer, consular officer, and leader of reform movements. Greener was a student at Oberlin College, the first African-American to receive a degree from Harvard College, dean of the Howard University Law Department, secretary of the Grant Monument Association (New York), and chief examiner of the Municipal Civil Service Board for New York City.
