Reverend Henry Blanton Parks (1859- )

Description:  Photograph of Reverend Henry Blanton Parks (1859- ), teacher and minister, A.M.E. Church. Parks had pastorates at Sugar Hill, Georgia; New Orleans and Baton Rouge, Louisiana; Greenville and Vicksburg, Mississippi; Topeka, Kansas; Omaha, Nebraska; and Kansas City, Missouri. He was Secretary of the Board of Home and Foreign Missions, A.M.E. Church ; organizer of the Bishop Henry McNeil Turner Crusaders of the 20th Century (a group of African-American churchmen pledged to the support of missions in Africa through more than church subscriptions) and a trustee of Wilberforce University, Wilberforce, Ohio.
