   My dear Mr. Scott:
     The Memorial Meeting held at Kansas City dur-
   ing the Annual Session of the National Negro
   Business League was most touching and most
   pleasing. I want to thank you for all that you said
   upon that occasion. I know I do not need to do so.
     I very much hope the address may be printed
   in full for general distribution among Mr. Wash-
   ington's friends, and the members of the National
   Negro Business League.

   Dear Mr. Scott:
     It is the consensus of opinion that the Memorial
   Address delivered by you at Kansas City, Mis-
   souri, the evening of August 16th, 1916, at Con-
   vention Hall, before the National Negro Business
   League should be printed for general distribution
   among the Local Negro Business Leagues and such
   others as may be interested. We trust you will
   consent to have this done.
