Photographs of ex-slaves from the Ohio Historical Society - Afro-Americans Small Picture Collection SC1495. These photographs were taken by Works Progress Administration -Federal Writers' Project staff engaged in the interviewing of surviving ex-slaves in Ohio. Most of the Ohio slave narratives were compiled in 1937 and 1938.
